PLEASE
TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Nassau is seeking proposals to retain
professional surveying services from a qualified firm interested in
performing a metes and bounds survey and related standard mapping parcel(s)
are located in the Village of East Nassau, owned by the Town of Nassau.
It is approximately 1.62 acres and Tax Map 193.-3-28 and is the site of
the Larkin/Vickey/Mackmin Cemeteries which are designated as one parcel
in the previous tax map number. The parcel is located along the
Tsatsawassa Creek off of Dunham Hollow Road (CR21).
Proposals should state the scope of work and estimated date of completion. The Town has separately authorized a title report for this property which will be provided to the surveying entity selected for this work. The Board would like to authorize the selection of professional services at their upcoming meeting on March 10, 2022.
All proposals shall be due to the Town via email at supervisor@townofnassau.org or mail via P.O. Box 587 – 29 Church Street, Nassau N.Y. 12123 by March 10, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. An entity will be awarded with the work at a reasonable time thereafter. BY ORDER OF THE NASSAU TOWN BOARD February 10, 2022 SCOPE OF WORK REQUEST FOR PROFESSIONAL SURVEY SERVICES FOR TOWN CEMETERIES LOCATED OFF CR 21, VILLAGE OF EAST NASSAU TOWN OF NASSAU, NEW YORK
PROJECT OVERVIEW: The Nassau Town Board has budgeted and authorized the survey for the site of two cemeteries transferred through abandonment to the Town of Nassau, New York.
The parcel is located in the Village of East Nassau, owned by the Town of Nassau. It is approximately 1.62 acres and Tax Map 193.-3-28 and is the site of the Larkin/Vickey/Mackmin Cemeteries which are designated as one parcel in the previous tax map number. The parcel is located along the Tsatsawassa Creek off of Dunham Hollow Road (CR21).
The requirements for the project are three (3) copies of mapping and one (1) Mylar copy of a standard metes and bounds survey of the property by a NYS licensed land surveyor.
Proposals should state the scope of work and estimated date of completion. RESPONSE DATE: Respondents are required to submit a proposal by 11:30 a.m. on March 10, 2022 and should be addressed to: Nassau Town Supervisor P.O. Box 587, 29 Church Street Nassau, NY 12123

SCOPE OF WORK: The subject surveying services shall be performed by a New York State Licensed Land Surveyor, and shall be provided in the manner defined herein. The survey shall be provided in at least on stamped mylar copy and three additional papers copies, and contain both a written and graphic scale, North arrow, Map Legend and date. The survey shall address, but not necessarily be limited to, the following informational requirements:
1. Show entire property and indicate adjacent properties. 2. Scale at 1”=20’0” or as otherwise requested or noted; 3. Easements (permanent or temporary access, emergency, etc.); 4. All Utilities, poles, conduits, pipes, drains, etc.;
Surveyor will be required to submit a draft survey for review and shall be responsible to make any revisions or additions as required.
Compensation for Consultant services shall be presented in a Lump Sum format for the entire project, which shall include all direct and indirect costs (ie. overhead, travel, expenses, etc.). |
