PUBLIC NOTICE Public Hearing on Proposed Local Law Town of Nassau
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Nassau has introduced and proposed for adoption Local Law No. 1 of 2022, which provides for the administration and enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code in the Town of Nassau. Due to recent changes to the Codes, municipalities are required to update their local laws. If adopted this Local Law will repeal and replace Local Law No. 5 of 2006 of the Town of Nassau which is currently the authority for local Code administration and enforcement.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Nassau will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2022 on November 10, 2022, at 6:45 pm at the Town Hall located at 29 Church Street, Nassau, NY, at which time and place all those wishing to comment on the proposed Local Law will have an opportunity to be heard. Written comments will also be accepted at that time and place. A copy of the proposed Local Law is available for review at the Town Hall or on the Town website, townofnassau.org.
